Sunday afternoon saw the majority of Rangers’ new signings afforded another opportunity to impress at Ibrox.
One of those used from the start was Jordan Jones.
The winger appears to be competing mainly with Jamie Murphy for a place in the starting XI this season and has made a strong start to life at Ibrox.

Having missed much of the back end of last season with Killie because of a shoulder injury, he impressed for Northern Ireland last month and looks keen to make an impression with his new club.
At 24, Jones is still quite raw and will no doubt frustrate the Ibrox faithful at times this season.
Yet, as we’ve seen so far, he’s direct, pacy and industrious. Three facets that should make him a hit.

Having started last week’s Europa League qualifying tie in Gibraltar, he played 65 minutes against Marseille. While he didn’t quite match the Gers’ other winger, Daniel Candeias’ performance levels, he put in a good shift down the left.
One moment, in particular, stood out.
After receiving the ball on touchline, Jones pulled off a Ronaldinho-esque ‘elastico’ leaving a Marseille defender for dead. It was a piece of individual flair that got Bears off their feet, while the footage also caused a stir on social media.
