Friday saw Rangers U17s pull off a famous victory.
They defeated AS Roma in a dramatic penalty shootout, to take home the Alkass International Cup.
It’s the first time the club have entered the prestigious competition. A factor which makes the achievement even more impressive.
In winning yesterday, the young Gers usurped Paris Saint-Germain, as reigning champions.
They didn’t have it all their own way either. They went a goal down, had a man sent off and were inches away from a last minute winner.
Yet, they didn’t let those incidents hold them back.
The tournament also helped fans identify several potential stars of the future.
Nathan Young-Coombes was very impressive in several matches, while Kai Kennedy secured the player of the tournament award.
The stand out individual and collective performances in Doha are a testament to the excellent coaching and recruitment currently taking place at development level.

As is only right after a big win, there were considerable celebrations.
The boys weren’t on their own out in Qatar, either.
Rangers, as usual, had a sizeable and vocal group of supporters at the venue, who joined the joyous scenes after the winning penalty.
Some Bears absolutely loved the footage.
