Rangers fans react to Borna Barisic pre-season footage

Over the last few days, the Rangers social media team has been keeping fans updated with activities in Portugal.
The Gers are in the Algarve for a week-long training camp as preparations for the 2019/20 season are ramped up.

Alongside photo galleries, there have also been video clips from training.
In one posted on Monday afternoon, Borna Barisic caught the eye.
Receiving the ball on the overlap from Sheyi Ojo, he bursts down the left side and stands up an inviting cross to the back post which Greg Stewart duly heads home.

It’s the sort of work that the 26-year-old promised a lot of in his opening weeks as a Ger.
However, as his injury-hit season progressed, we saw him get forward and cross with less regularity and less success.
After another strong international showing, though, things are looking up.
Barisic looks fit and crucially, more confident in both his body and ability.

Gers fans will hope to see more of the full-back marauding down the flank.

Rangers already have one dynamic full-back in James Tavernier. Therefore, if Stevie G can get Barisic also willing to burst forward and bring a threat from the left, his team is going to be a nightmare to defend against.
Judging by the response to the video, it seems plenty of Bears are thinking along the same lines.
