On Tuesday afternoon, news broke via multiple sources, including STV Sport, that neither Alfredo Morelos nor Kirk Broadfoot would face SFA charges.
The players clashed during Saturday’s 1-1 draw between the Gers and Kilmarnock at Ibrox.

On the stroke of half-time, Broadfoot looked to rake his studs down Morelos’ achilles.
The Rangers striker responded, by pushing the Killie defender, who then fell dramatically.
It was abundantly clear that the greater crime was Broadfoot’s.

The Colombian’s response was pretty conservative, given what his opponent had done.
Nonetheless, it appeared both players were at risk of retrospective punishment with the SFA Compliance Officer due to review footage on Tuesday.
Any ban would have ruled Morelos out of the upcoming Old Firm, on 31 March.
However, he will now be available, in what is a big boost for Steven Gerrard.

Insufficient evidence was cited as the reason for no further action being brought. Regardless, though, it’s clear former Ger, Broadfoot, has got away with one here.
At best, his actions were a deliberate attempt to rile Morelos. At worst, he was intending to injure the 22-year-old.
He’s certainly lost a lot of credibility amongst the Rangers supporters, many of whom reacted angrily when the news broke.
