Monday afternoon saw yet another momentous achievement for the Rangers development system.
By beating Falkirk, Graeme Murty’s side secured the SPFL Reserve League title.
It was an excellent win, especially considering the Gers went 1-0 down after 24 minutes.
A Rhys Breen header followed by a brace from Andy Dallas ensured a 3-1 victory.
There were some great scenes after the final whistle, as the players celebrated success at the end of a long season.
It’s yet another tick against the name of Reserves coach, Graeme Murty.
When Pedro Caixinha was axed in the middle of last season, he stepped up to the plate again, taking charge of first-team operations until a permanent successor was found.

Now back in the development system, Murty looks more at home.
He hasn’t been able to rely on a core 18 players throughout the season. In fact, far from it.
Availability changes on a weekly basis and is dictated by the needs of the first team. Furthermore, players picking up knocks or heading away on short-term loan spells also greatly reduces options.
Yet, despite some of those unique challenges, the 44-year-old has thrived. He’s instilled a playing philosophy, a winning mentality and given players as young as 16 exposure.
He deserves all the praise he gets and there was plenty coming from Rangers fans after the result. Here’s a selection of reactions to two tweets Murty posted in after the win:
