Rangers fans get excited about Jamie Murphy's training post

The early signs are good for Jamie Murphy ahead of the 2019/20 season.
Last term, his hopes of being a crucial figure under Steven Gerrard were dashed by a serious injury.

He damaged knee ligaments away at Kilmarnock in August and the injury kept him out for the remainder of the season.
It must have been a bitter pill to swallow. However, he’s now back at it and hoping to stake a claim to feature during the upcoming Europa League Qualifiers.
He tweeted a photo of himself in full flight during a training session at the club’s pre-season camp in Portugal.

It’s great to see him back out there looking fit and strong.
He faces a battle to nail down a spot in the Gerrard’s starting XI, though.
Right now, his main competition on the left appears to be new arrival, Jordan Jones. The Northern Ireland international prefers that side and starred for his country during recent Euro 2020 qualifiers.

Things will get even trickier if the Gers manage to snare Ryan Kent on a second loan deal. You have to think that if he returns to Ibrox, the jersey will be his, with Jones and Murphy left to battle it out as his back-up.
Nevertheless, plenty of Bears are delighted to see Murphy back fit and are looking forward to seeing what he will offer.
Here’s a selection of reactions to his post:
