There was unanimous acceptance of the results of Rangers’ Player of the Month last night, as Alan McGregor took home the award.

The goalkeeper fought off stiff competition from the free-scoring Alfredo Morelos and Scott Arfield, to scoop the prize. While those two players were heavily involved at one end of the pitch, McGregor was certainly busy at the other.
The reinstated Scotland number one almost single-handedly kept the Gers in matches at either end of November. Firstly, away at St Mirren in the SPL, and secondly, at home to Villarreal in the Europa League.
Wasn’t really a contest!

On those occasions, the ‘keeper, now in his second spell at the club, made a series of world-class stops. It wasn’t just those two fixtures in which he performed well, either.
McGregor didn’t put a foot wrong all month, keeping clean sheets in three out of five matches.
Fan votes secured the accolade for the keeper, and the Rangers faithful showed their appreciation after the announcement.

Some even believed McGregor was worthy of the accolade based on character alone!

The fact that not even a single fan voiced disagreement with the result, shows just how good McGregor has been.
He is definitely the signing of the season, not just for Rangers, but throughout the Scottish Premiership.
Well on his way to player of the season, McGregor is invaluable to the club. Hopefully, he will continue to churn out performances, to help resurrect December for the Teddy Bears.
