Rangers fans are set to return to Seville after the Europa League draw was made; with the Gers set to face Real Betis, Sparta Prague and AEK Limassol in the competition.
The Gers dropped down into the Europa League following their Champions League Playoff hammering at the hands of PSV Eindhoven in midweek.
And whilst Rangers fans have struggled to get themselves motivated for the Europa League draw Europe’s second tier tournament has thrown up some intriguing ties.
The headline-maker is a trip to face Real Betis in Seville just over a year on from the club’s devastating penalty kicks Europa League Final defeat in the city.

Whilst that match was played at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuán – the home of Sevilla – Rangers are set to face off against their eternal rivals in the biggest clash of the groups.

To add an extra dimension to the clash, Real Betis’ green and white kits have links to Old Firm rivals Celtic.
Rangers also face a Europa League grudge match with Sparta Prague after the horrendous scenes of a few seasons ago in the Czech Republic.
Ibrox midfielder Glen Kamara was allegedly targeted by boos by the Sparta supporters after a loophole allowed the club’s supporters to get past a UEFA ban for racism.
The Finnish international – who’s just moved to Leeds United – had done nothing wrong other than be the subject of racist abuse from Ondrej Kudela the year previously during a clash with Sparta’s rivals Slavia.
The Europa League draw comes after Sparta Prague defeated Croatian side Dinamo to push Rangers up into pot one.

Completing the group is a rather pleasant sounding trip to Cyprus to face AEL Limassol with Rangers avoiding some of the biggest names in the other pots.
The Europa League draw has been favourable to Rangers and whilst La Liga side Real Betis will be favourites to top the group, progression against the likes of Sparta Prague and AEL Limassol will be expected from Ibrox.
