Rangers have been boosted by the inclusion of Tom Lawrence in the latest club Training Centre snaps which have been shared on social media.

The Ibrox side’s media team shared a snap of Tom Lawrence being put through his paces as he rejoins his teammates for training after almost a year out with injury. View the Rangers training gallery online.

The 29-year-old Welsh international missed the overwhelming majority of last season’s desperate campaign in a major blow to the club’s chances.

Signed on a free contract from Derby County, Tom Lawrence started brightly at Ibrox and looked to be a shrewd addition by the club heading into the new season.

Netting three goals in his opening nine matches, the attacking midfielder was all set to be a key player but after sustaining an injury in late August was ruled out for the entire campaign.

Tom Lawrence returns to Rangers training

Now back amongst his teammates, the addition of Tom Lawrence in Rangers training is welcome sight for supporters who’ve also been boosted by the return of Kemar Roofe this summer.

The potent striker was part of the club’s Germany training camp and, alongside Scotland international John Souttar, could form part of an experienced trio who can have a greater impact on Rangers’ squad this season.

There was more good news for Rangers in training too, with Belgian U21 international Nicolas Raskin rejoining his teammates alongside Tom Lawrence.

The January signing had been given extended time off after his presence with the Belgian youth set-up at this summer’s European Championships.

Tom Lawrence and Nicolas Raskin were also joined by the return of Allan McGregor to Rangers training, the legendary goalkeeper back at the club ahead of his testimonial v Newcastle United this evening.

The Ibrox Hall of Famer is set to be given a tremendous sell-out send-off by the Rangers support with the travelling Toon Army also set to take 8000 briefs for the game.
