Rangers appoint Dave Vos as assistant to Giovanni van Bronckhorst

Dave Vos has been appointed as the new assistant manager of Rangers. The Dutchman joins from the Ajax academy where he was working as the manager of the under 18s, while he has also previously worked at the Dutch FA.

Vos comes to Rangers with a fantastic reputation, and this is exactly the sort of move that every Rangers fan would have wanted. It’s a credit to Ross Wilson for working tirelessly to appoint a new coaching team in such a short space of time.

It’s fair to say that Rangers fans have been thoroughly enjoying the news on Twitter.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst now has his own backroom staff in which will make him feel comfortable.

Vos has had plenty of experience when it comes to working with youth prospects and Ajax has one of the finest academies in European football, so this should give players such as Stephen Kelly and Leon King a massive boost as they chase first-team football.

Could having Vos at the club also help with potential transfers down the line?

The Ajax academy has produced some of Europe’s leading talents over the previous few years. Names such as Donny van de Beek and Frenkie de Jong have made the Dutch giants millions in transfer fees.

Rangers might just be in a prime position to utilise the connections Vos has and potentially sign a superstar in the making.

It’s certainly an exciting time to be a Rangers fan.

In other news, Vos might not be the only talented coach arriving at Ibrox, as Rangers are set to appoint Zeb Jacobs in early 2022.
