The Daily Record report that Rangers are appealing the yellow card picked up by Alfredo Morelos, during the Scottish Cup quarter final replay, against Aberdeen.
It’s the latest in a long line of appeals from the Gers this season. Most of which, have been unsuccessful.

In this instance, striker, Alfredo Morelos, was cautioned for alleged simulation in the penalty area.
The booking would have made him ineligible for the semi-final had Gerrard’s men made it through.
As they didn’t, though, it now rolls over to the first cup match of next season.
The incident in question occurred in the 33rd minute of Tuesday night’s fixture.
Morelos attempted to turn clear of Andy Considine, but instead hit the deck instead inside the box.

Consequently, referee Kevin Clancy brandished a yellow card.
Upon further inspection, though, the Don’s defender did make contact with El Buffalo.
It seems as though Rangers feel aggrieved after reviewing the footage.
At that stage of the game, trailing 1-0, a spot kick could have proven the route back into the game the Ibrox faithful were hoping for.
Time to move on?

Yet, at this point, it does seem like the club are clutching at straws.
Successfully overturning a yellow card isn’t going to reinstate Gerrard’s side to the competition.
It only prolongs the fallout from what was a miserable showing.
The report states that an SFA judicial panel will review the incident and make a decision on Friday.
If cleared, Morelos will be free to play in Rangers’ 2019/20, Scottish Cup opener.
