On Friday afternoon, Rangers announced a partnership extension.
The undefined extension will see the club continue to work with Lifetime Protection Services Limited, providers of Life Insurance, Income Protection and Home Contents Insurance.
“Rangers Protect are delighted to extend our partnership with Rangers,” Lifetime Protection Services Limited Managing Director, Martin Delany, told Rangers.co.uk. “Our Rangers Rewards Scheme has proven to be very popular and we look forward to giving fans more once in a lifetime Rangers experiences at what is a hugely exciting time for everyone.”
The extension was also welcomed by Rangers Director of Commercial and Marketing, James Bisgrove, who bigged up the quality of service provided by the club’s partner and promised new experiences and prizes for fans over the coming season.
Attendance at VIP Hospitality days and Legends events have been typical incentives in the past.
There may be some upheaval in the football department following the departure of Mark Allen, but things are clearly still ticking over on the commercial side.
Despite recent bad publicity with UEFA sanctions, it’s positive to see the club building upon off-field partnerships which are so important in the modern game. Judging by Delany’s comments, on-field improvements are making the club increasingly attractive for sponsors.
There does seem to be a genuine fan-centric focus to this deal, and if Bears can benefit from companies who are helping to balance the books at Ibrox, the longer the extension the better.
