New Rangers signing Jake Hastie has given his first RangersTV interview, since signing from Motherwell.
The 20-year-old winger signed a pre-contract agreement last month and finally joined up with his new teammates at Auchenhowie on Monday.
Now in Portugal, as the pre-season shifts up a notch, the wide man is raring to go.
Firstly, he wants to experience playing at Ibrox. He turned out once against the Gers last season, but that fixture was held at Fir Park in April.
He had missed the one trip to Ibrox of 2018/19 due to being at Alloa Athletic on loan.
“It is something I am really looking forward to,” Hastie told RangersTV. “Especially at Ibrox with the atmosphere there and the fans – it is going to blow me away.”
“It means the world to me and I am absolutely buzzing to be here. I have worked hard when I was at Motherwell and now I am delighted to be here.
“I feel I can add a bit of directness in ‘one v ones’ and add goals and assists, and I will be looking to get as many as possible.
“I know it is going to be hard and I know I am going to have to work even harder than I did at Motherwell, but I have a belief in my ability that I’ll be able to do that.”

Verdict
Hastie looked a little nervous being in front of the RangersTV lens for the first time. Who can blame him for that, though?
Just over six months ago, he was turning out for Alloa in the Scottish Championship. Now he’s a Rangers player preparing for what could be the club’s biggest season in years.
He stood out at the back end of the last term, netting six SPL goals. Let’s hope he gets pre-season minutes under his belt so that if he is to stay at Ibrox this season, rather than heading out on loan, he will be firing on all cylinders by the time the competitive fixtures begin.
