Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos has not signed a pre-contract with Sevilla despite reports to the contrary with the Colombian’s Ibrox future up in the air.
Reports heading into the weekend’s 3-0 Scottish Cup win over Raith Rovers claimed that the 27-year-old striker had agreed terms with the La Liga giants as his contract ticks down at Ibrox.

Rangers manager Michael Beale was coy on the claims after the game, and suggested that he’d find out the truth from Alfie at training this week.
Alfredo Morelos “denies” Sevilla reports
Now, the Scottish Daily Express are claiming that Alfredo Morelos has not agreed terms with Sevilla and that the striker hasn’t spoken to any other clubs about his future.
That’s despite the fact Morelos is absolutely free to speak any potential suitors with the striker having entered the final six months of his contract at Ibrox.
That report is also claiming that Sevilla are also unlikely to move for Alfredo Morelos or anyone else ahead of the summer with the club’s La Liga position currently under threat.
The Spanish outfit are traditionally one of the division’s top clubs, but this season they sit 13th in a tight La Liga table, only two points above the relegation zone.
Michael Beale fires Alfie warning
The links to Sevilla also come as Rangers boss Michael Beale fired Alfredo Morelos a warning over his commitment to the cause at Ibrox.
Rangers manager Beale wants to see more energy from the Colombian striker, who has been plagued with fitness and commitment issues throughout his time in Glasgow.
“Alfredo’s situation is slightly different,” said Beale, when asked about the player’s future following the Scottish Cup win over Raith Rovers.
“He has been at the club for a long time and I need to see a little bit more from Alfredo day in, day out.
“When he’s played when the team has needed him, he’s fine – but I want a bit more energy in the final third.
“Can he provide that? If he can then he’s a better option than what he has been the last few months. Everything I’m saying here has been said to him as well.”
