Another weekend and yet another influential performance from Greg Docherty.
The Rangers loanee helped adopted club Shrewsbury Town secure a point, away at Sunderland, on Saturday.

The Shrews’ Boxing Day defeat to Accrington Stanley, had left them languishing 18th in League One.
Sunderland, on the other hand, came into the match in third spot, with an unbeaten record at the Stadium of Light.
Therefore, it was a shock when the visitors took the lead after half an hour.
Yet, it was no surprise that Docherty had a hand in the goal. His excellent in-swinging delivery from a set-piece on the left flank, was met by centre-back Luke Waterfall, who headed past the Black Cats’ ‘keeper.

That’s now a goal and two assists in Docherty’s last four outings.
Unfortunately for the blue nose, the lead lasted less than 15 minutes.
Prolific Sunderland striker, Josh Maja, headed home an equaliser in the 44th minute.

Docherty was once again involved in the dying embers of the match. However, despite his deflected 92nd minute free-kick looking destined for the net, a desperate scramble from the hosts saw the ball eventually cleared.
A positive performance overall though, for his adopted side, as they look to make a move up the table.
The fixtures keep coming thick and fast. They entertain Joey Barton’s Fleetwood Town at New Meadow this afternoon.
