The fallout from two disappointing results for Rangers, continued on Friday morning.
Steven Gerrard addressed the media, as followed by the Rangers Twitter account, ahead of Saturday’s fixture against Kilmarnock.

However, there was much less talk about the upcoming game and more about recent events.
A draw at Hibs a week ago all but ended the title race, before Aberdeen dumped the Gers out of the Scottish Cup.
It’s been disappointing, but the backlash hasn’t surprised the manager.
“I’m well aware of the job I signed up for”, said Gerrard, as quoted by the Rangers Twitter account.
“I know after a few bad results, pundits and keyboard wizards will always be there. That’s fine.”

“It’s been tough since Aberdeen. Not only have we gone out of a cup competition, but there were not any positives.”
“I’ve picked myself up and I can guarantee you that I will improve personally going forward.”
Clearly, he’s not naive. There’s was fanfare surrounding his appointment last summer and he was elevated to hero status after European progress and December’s Old Firm victory.

However, scrutiny is never far away at Rangers. You have to take the rough with the smooth and it looks as though he’s prepared to do that.
It seems as though he’s been doing some soul searching over the last few days, too.
Whether that translates into a discernible change in tactics or personnel against Killie, we’ll have to wait and see.
