Former Rangers boss Alex McLeish has been inducted into the Hillwood Boys Club Hall of Fame, as he celebrated where it all began for him in football.
The Aberdeen and Scotland legend is Glasgow born and bred and first started out in his career with the Pollok based Glasgow boys club.
The former Aston Villa, Birmingham, Gent and Scotland boss was inducted into the Hall of Fame alongside Nottingham Forest legend, Kenny Burns.

It was an emotional return to his old stomping ground and Big Eck talked up plans to build a new community hall, changing rooms and clubhouse in the southside of Glasgow.
“It was a great night and a really proud moment for me,” said McLeish [Evening Times].
“Willie [Hillwood founder] and I have been good friends since I played for Hillwood when I was a teenager and he was a great mentor to me in those days.
“The amount of boys he has helped is tremendous and I am proud to be a Patron of the Hillwood Boys Club Trust.
“We are really lacking in facilities these days and the plans that Hillwood have look fantastic. I opened one in memory of Neale Cooper and that is a fantastic facility.
“When you think about the facility that Willie is looking to launch at Hillwood, it is amazing and it will have a great impact on the community and the players that use it.”
Former Ibrox boss McLeish is currently taking a break after losing his job as Scotland manager earlier in the year.

Many Rangers fans felt the decision to sack McLeish was unjust, and it’s a measure of the manager’s ability that the only chance Scotland now have of qualifying for Euro 2020, is down to him.
McLeish managed to guide Scotland through a tricky Nations League set-up which now sees Scotland face two play-off matches in March.
