Last month, Rangers confirmed the upcoming departure of five young players from Ibrox.
Malta international, Myles Beerman, was one of them.
On Sunday evening, he took the opportunity to bid a heartfelt farewell to the club via his Twitter account.
“I would like to say thanks to Rangers for giving me my chance and making my debut,” he wrote.
“Thank you to the fans that always had my back and the clubs back. I wish the club success for the future. It’s been a pleasure representing one of the most successful clubs in Europe.”
Beerman’s three-year stint over
It was a classy departing message from the 20-year-old who spent the second half of the season on loan at Gzira United.
He helped the Maltese Premier League outfit to a third-place finish, ensuring qualification for the Europa League. They will enter the competition at the first round of qualifying and as they are unseeded, they could conceivably be drawn against Rangers.
That stint at Gzira was one of three loan spells away from Ibrox for Beerman over the last two seasons.
Prior to that, he had formed part of the first team plans at Rangers. He made eight appearances for the Gers as a teenager during the 2016/17 season, seven of which came from the start.
However, unfortunately, he didn’t quite do enough to justify a place even as cover in recent times.
He has three caps for his country, though and with age still firmly on his side, hopefully, he’ll have plenty of potential suitors this summer.
