Iain Ferguson has praised Glen Kamara on the Official Rangers Podcast.
Initially, having signed a pre-contract agreement, the Finnish international was due to arrive over the summer.
However, on deadline day in January, the Gers thrashed out a deal for an immediate switch. A reported £50k changed hands [Daily Record], for a player who has quickly become a fan favourite.

“He does all the dirty stuff, the stuff that no one likes to do,” said Ferguson on the Official Rangers Podcast, when asked about Kamara’s impact.
“Him and Steven Davis have linked up very well. They’re chasing back, they’re disrupting the other team…and they’re also winning the ball back and giving it to other players. Short, quick passes. They’re holding the shape of the team.

“He’s come in from Dundee for a nominal fee, and for me, he looks as though he’s been playing there for years.”

Verdict

There weren’t too many who would have predicted Kamara to make such a big impact, so quickly at Ibrox.
Yet, Ferguson is right, he looks as if he’s been at Ibrox for a decade, rather than a couple of months.
Rangers were unbeaten domestically with Ross McCrorie in the side before the turn of the year, so it speaks volumes that Kamara has been able to keep him out.
At just 24, there’s development to be done, too. If he’s good now, imagine what he could be like in a couple of seasons.
