Date for next Rangers vs Celtic clash confirmed

On Friday afternoon, the SPFL announced the post-split SPL fixtures.
The Gers have one final regular season game left away at Motherwell on Sunday. However, until now, the dates and times of their remaining five fixtures were not known.
First and foremost, the final Old Firm of the season will take place on Sunday 12 May. It will be the customary 12pm kick-off at Ibrox.

There are three fixtures before that, though.

First up is a trip to Tynecastle to face Hearts on Saturday 20 April, also at 12pm. The game should hold no fears for Gerrard’s men, after the comfortable 3-0 win over the same opposition on Wednesday evening.

Furthermore, Aberdeen and Hibernian will visit Ibrox before that Old Firm clash in a run of three consecutive home fixtures.
The season draws to a close at Rugby Park. The Gers take on Steve Clarke’s Kilmarnock at 3 pm on Saturday 18 May.

Big player boost for Old Firm

The order of the post-split fixtures delivers a big player boost to Steven Gerrard ahead of that final Celtic clash.
Both Alfredo Morelos and Ryan Kent will have completed their bans and be available.
Kent will miss just the first post-split fixture against Hearts, while El Bufalo will be out for that clash and the following game against Aberdeen.
