There are conflicting reports surrounding the future of Rangers midfielder Glen Kamara as the Finnish international star is given fresh hope under Michael Beale amid links to Salernitana.
Once a key player in this Rangers squad, amid a downturn in form Glen Kamara was a bit-part player under Giovanni van Bronckhorst but usually always preferred for European matches.

During his heyday at Ibrox the midfielder was amongst the most valuable in the team but despite being contracted to the club until 2025, there’s been a drop-off in that valuation this season.
Rangers want to get the most from Glen Kamara and amid swirling interest from the likes of Serie A Salernitana, the player’s Ibrox career has come to an interesting juncture.
Conflicting reports as Kamara linked with Rangers Salernitana exit
Van Bronckhorst has left the club and Michael Beale – whose tactics contributed to getting the best out of Glen Kamara previously – is now the man in charge at Rangers.
New Ibrox assistant Neil Banfield also worked with the player during his time at Arsenal.
The Ibrox manager has previously namechecked the midfielder and claimed – regardless of the Salernitana links – Glen Kamara “will be a big player for Rangers moving forward”.
This has led to the likes of Rangers legend Brian Laudrup to suggest that Michael Beale might not just revive Glen’s career at Ibrox, but also build his new-look Rangers side around the player.
There is also a reason why Glen Kamara has just been named the Finland men’s national team Player of the Year and Rangers would do well to access that ability.
But despite this good feeling around Glen Kamara, links in Italy have claimed that the Rangers star has already told Michael Beale he wants to leave as Salernitana swirl.
Kamara almost left the Ibrox side on deadline day amid £10m interest from OGC Nice and Tutto Salernitana are claiming there is interest from Italy, France and Spain heading into January.
Naming Salernitana and Mozza as the Italian clubs tailing Glen Kamara, it adds to the mystery surrounding the player’s future and Rangers fans will certainly be watching this closely as conflicting reports continue to surround the Finnish midfielder.
Meanwhile, one Rangers director has been breaking his silence amid much criticism regarding his performance.
