Leading Scottish football journalist Chris Jack has hinted that Rangers fans may yet be disappointed in the club’s hunt for late signings in his latest transfer update.

Speaking in the Herald, Chris Jack claimed that there is a chance Rangers may not add to their nine signings this summer in the final few days of the transfer window.

This comes with Leon King set to head out on loan and Finnish international midfielder Glen Kamara closely linked with a move to Leeds United.

According to Chris Jack, Rangers will only move for a player who can come in and improve the starting XI and unless such a player becomes available then that will not happen.

Claiming that Rangers are ready to react should any relevant names become available, apparently the exits of Leon King and Glen Kamara could mark the end of the club’s business.

An excerpt from the journalist’s latest Rangers transfer update reads:

“Rangers remain open to doing business if the right move materialises and are ready to react during the final stages of the window but the switches for King and Kamara could mark the end of their activity during a productive window.”

Rangers transfer update threatens underwhelming end to window

Should Rangers fail to move for another player in this transfer window, it will be an underwhelming end to the window despite the addition of nine new players.

The Rangers transfer update comes after Michael Beale had claimed that Rangers were potentially looking to add one player in the window.

“I think there is a little bit in one or two of the names mentioned out there,” said the Rangers manager following the weekend’s 2-0 win over Ross County.

“There is a little bit of truth in there, but nothing for us to confirm right now.

“Come the end of the window, you may see one or two out and one in, but it’s all open at the moment.”

Leading Rangers fan media partner Stevie Clifford of Four Lads Had a Dream has also been discussing those rumours surrounding Harry Souttar, Jesse Lingard and Eden Hazard.
