Borna Barisic has reiterated his commitment to Rangers, as quoted by Football Scotland.
The 26-year-old endured a disappointing first season at Ibrox which was blighted by injury problems and a lack of form.

However, he looked back in form last month, starring for Croatia in a Euro 2020 Qualifier against Wales. He followed that up with a strong display last week against St Joseph’s in Gibraltar.
Now, he insists that despite spending time out of the team last season, he’s enjoying his time at the Gers and is determined to kick on.
“The truth is I couldn’t get back into the team last season after an injury because they kept winning games,” said Barisic, as
quoted by Football Scotland. “That’s the way it is with Rangers – they are a great club with great players.”
“I really have a brilliant relationship with Steven Gerrard. We talk about tactics and current issues. There are no problems. I feel great here and I am completely devoted to Rangers. Life in Glasgow is really good.
“I had a week off during the summer, but decided to use that vacation to do additional training instead. I did it to try and make sure I was ready for the new season ahead. So it was nice to hit that free-kick against St Joseph’s. Some people gave the goal to me and others to Connor Goldson, but it doesn’t matter anyway.
“I know all about the philosophy of the club. It’s all about winning and I want to be a part of it.”

Verdict

Barisic divided Rangers fans last season. Many thought he wasn’t doing enough after the club spent a reported £2 million to sign him from NK Osijek [The Scotsman].
After a horror outing away at Kilmarnock on the final day of last season, some had had enough.
However, he’s bounced both at both club and international level since then. He still has plenty of Bears onside and they were quick to praise his efforts in Gibraltar last week.
The reality is the left-back has three years remaining on his Ibrox deal. Therefore, he still has time to find consistency and to reach the top of his game.
It’s encouraging to hear he’s been putting the hard yards in over the summer and that he wants to win silverware. Now, though, it’s time to walk the walk.
