Alfredo Morelos escapes SFA sanction, fans absolutely love it

This afternoon, it emerged that Alfredo Morelos escaped retrospective punishment from the SFA. That is, after they looked into a series of incidents during Saturday’s win over Celtic.
The Colombian has found himself in trouble on many occasions this season. He has picked up three red cards as well as serving an additional one-match ban, for accumulation of yellow cards.

However, on this occasion, he was cleared of any wrongdoing.
There were three incidents in question.
In the opening minutes of the clash, Morelos appeared to kick out at Celtic captain Scott Brown. In the second half, he then proceeded to trod on full-back Anthony Ralston, before reaching for Ryan Christie’s groin region after a collision.

While it was expected that at least one of those incidents could bring retrospective punishment, none materialised.
The SFA, believe referee John Beaton, saw each episode in full. Therefore, as is customary, they are supporting his original conclusions.
Crucially, the ruling leaves Morelos available for the resumption of action after the winter break.
The reaction to the surprising news from Bears on Twitter, was one of jubilation. A hint of sarcasm was often present too.

You can’t help but feel that Rangers and Morelos have got away with one here.
However, with several early season rulings going against the club, the Gers will definitely take the luck where they can get it.
