Alfredo Morelos has been spotted with Scottish Hollywood actor Gerard Butler in Glasgow nightspot Sanctuary.

The actor, who is a known Celtic fan, had his picture taken with Rangers striker Morelos and it’s a picture we don’t think anyone expected to see.

With the international break in place and Morelos having not been called up for Colombia’s World Cup qualifiers, it is perhaps no surprise to see him enjoying himself.

The picture of Alfredo Morelos and Gerard Butler has sparked laughter amongst Rangers fans with a variety of hilarious comments appearing on Twitter.

Morelos has been struggling for form this season, scoring only seven times in 19 matches. The attacking options at the club are looking healthy and the Colombian has plenty of competition to fend off.

In Gerrard’s first two seasons at the club, Morelos scored 30 and 29 goals respectively, establishing himself as a sought-after player and becoming Rangers’ most prized asset.

Last season saw a drop-off in goals for the young striker, Gerrard made tactical tweaks and he was not as prolific as he had been the two seasons prior.

This seemed to pay off however as the team went unbeaten in the league and Morelos was a key fixture in the side.

With a new manager expected to be announced soon, will Morelos return to his former self or will Rangers cash in on the player? Time will tell.

In other news, a Man Utd coach has been tipped to take over from Gerrard.
