Will Ryan Hardie be concerned following Gerrard's Rudden comments?

Earlier this week, in an interview with RangersTV, Steven Gerrard said he had a ‘lot of admiration for’ and sees ‘a future’ at Rangers for Zak Rudden.
The 19-year-old striker is currently on loan at Falkirk and has impressed many with his displays this season.
He has 10 goals for the Bairns and recently scored a hat-trick for Scotland U19s.

Contrastingly, the goals have dried up for Ryan Hardie.
Earlier in the season, it was he who was earning all the plaudits for his loan displays.
The 22-year-old scored five in five starts for Livingston in December. Now, though, it’s Rudden being praised while Hardie searches for his first goal of 2019.

He recently lost his place to ex-Partick Thistle man, Chris Erskine, and strong recent form suggests Gary Holt is unlikely to tweak his team too much.
With fixtures running out, time is against Hardie to impress Steven Gerrard ahead of his Ibrox return.
However, there’s no point in worrying about what’s going on elsewhere. He has the security of
another season on his Rangers deal and just like Rudden, will have an opportunity to prove himself in pre-season, come what may.
The important thing now is grabbing any final opportunities that come his way with the Lions.

His outstanding December proved he can mix it in the top flight, now it’s time to get back to doing just that.
