With Transfer Deadline Day looming ever nearer, clubs are beginning to scramble to identify targets and push through final deals.
Last week, all the signs were pointing to Jordan Rossiter leaving on loan.

Rangers were looking to bring forward Glen Kamara’s Ibrox arrival.
That meant yet more competition for the injury-prone 21-year-old in midfield. However, there seemed to be a light at the end of the tunnel.

Dundee were looking to swap Kamara for a Gers player. Rossiter fitted the bill in terms of a like-for-like swap.
Steven Gerrard even admitted in a press conference that he could leave this month in order to get regular game time.

Surely, this was an indication he was on the way out.
Yet, since then, it’s all went quiet.

Have Dundee looked elsewhere?

More concerning still, Dundee have now captured the signature of a holding midfielder. Andreas Hadenius joins on loan from Halmstads BK.
Having already strengthened in that area, will Dundee now simply take a fee in exchange for Kamara rather than a player?

The deal might not go through at all in this window.
Yet, even without Kamara arriving at Ibrox, it’s hard to see how Rossiter fits into this Rangers team.
He managed just five appearances out of the 37 the club played before the winter break.
Surely, a loan move must be carved out in the coming days, or more time on the sidelines awaits.
