After all the hype, tonight, it’s time for action.
Rangers have been busy this window and bringing in both Steven Davis and Jermain Defoe was hailed as great transfer business.
Yesterday, Steven Gerrard confirmed that the quality of the two stars had brought noticeable improvements to the standard of training.
However, now it’s time to transfer that to the pitch.

An extremely experienced individual, Steven Davis has been brought in to dictate games for Rangers.
He has shown his ability to do that not only at club level, but also in internationals, as the key man in Northern Ireland’s midfield for over a decade.
Preparations haven’t been ideal, but at least the 34-year-old got 45 minutes under his belt on Sunday.

It’s likely that he’ll still be a touch off the pace.

That’s to be expected.
Yet, it’s crucial that it doesn’t take him long to hit his straps.
Kilmarnock’s form over the first half of the season has shown them to be a dangerous side.

While they have lost Greg Stewart, they are not to be taken lightly.

Davis’ ability to link the play will be crucial to Rangers getting a grip on the game.
This is the first of four tough away games in the next five fixtures.
These are the matches Davis was brought in for – now, it’s time to deliver.
