There’s no doubt that Rangers were disappointing yet again, on Saturday.
The first half was drab and Killie’s goal a poor one to concede.
After a few interesting half-time substitutions and a geeing up from the manager, things did improve in the second half.
Alfredo Morelos scored his 29th of the season, but neither he, nor any of his teammates, could muster a winner.
The resulting dropped points look to have finished off any lingering hopes of an SPL title, with the gap now surely too big for even the most optimistic.
One major positive
A clear silver lining on the day though, was the performance of Steven Davis.
Up until now, the veteran midfielder has looked a shadow of himself since joining on loan, in January.

During his last start at Ibrox, against St Johnstone, last month, he was particularly off the pace and faced heavy criticism from some fans.
Against Killie, however, he looked much more like his old self.
After all, this is a guy with over 300 Premier League appearances and 107 international caps.
He linked play well and went close with a couple of long distance efforts in the first half.
There’s little doubt he was the stand out performer for Gerrard and that bodes well for the run in.
Rangers may not have silverware to play for, but the majority of the squad are now playing for their Ibrox futures.
When Davis’ loan deal expires, he will also be out of contract at Southampton. Therefore, he needs to impress if he wants Gerrard to take him on board permanently.
It has become clear that he’s desperately in need of game time to build up sharpness. Fortunately, 90 minutes today should be followed by 180 for Northern Ireland, next week.
They play Estonia and Belarus in two Euro 2020 Qualifiers in Belfast and Davis is set to skipper the side.
Here’s hoping he can impress and stay injury free, before proving his worth to Rangers over the final eight matches of the campaign.
