The Scottish Sun report that Rangers will battle Celtic to sign Hearts’ Uche Ikpeazu in the summer.
The 6ft 3′ striker hasn’t exactly lit up the SPL since arriving from Cambridge United.

So far, he has just two league goals to his name.
However, it’s the £360k-rated [Transfermarkt] forward’s physicality and overall performance levels which have impressed.

With Rangers not in action until tomorrow, Steven Gerrard will be able to keep an eye around the grounds today.
Only pride is at stake for the Gers over the remainder of the campaign, so the manager will already be looking to next season and players he can bring in.

If Ikpeazu is indeed on the radar, he has a big chance to impress this afternoon.
After missing the midweek defeat at Ibrox, the forward is likely to return to face Hibernian in the Edinburgh Derby.

It’s a far cry from the Old Firm, but it’s the biggest occasion a Hearts player can be a part of.

Ikpeazu’s performance level will give an indication of his credentials under pressure.
A big shift and a goal or two today could help make up Gerrard’s mind on a swoop for the Englishman.
