Most Rangers fans would admit there needs to be a bit of a clear out at Ibrox over the summer.
Quality must come in, but first, the squad needs trimming down so it only houses those capable of challenging for a first-team spot.
On Wednesday, an Evening Times report suggested that Jak Alnwick would be a victim of that process.

The 25-year-old is on loan at Scunthorpe United and looks unlikely to play for the Gers again.
An issue with moving players like Alnwick on, though, is that the club are unlikely to get much in the way of transfer fees.
However, surely an exception to that rule is Wes Foderingham.
The 28-year-old has proven himself a reliable stopper over four years at Ibrox and is valued at £540k [Transfermarkt].

That’s the kind of fee which could actively contribute to the club’s hunt for quality new additions.
Foderingham has been a loyal servant during his time with the club. There hasn’t been a word of complaint this season, despite the arrival of Allan McGregor bumping him down to no.2.
Yet, reaching his peak years as a keeper, he deserves to be playing regular football. Furthermore, goalkeeping reserves at the club dictate that he is expendable.
Even if Alnwick were to follow him out the exit door this summer, Robby McCrorie, Andy Firth and young Nicky Hogarth are all on the books.

He’s only made six appearances this season, with just two of those coming in the SPL. After all, it’s not as if McGregor is going to be usurped any time soon, either.
A summer move makes sense for all parties here. Most importantly, it could conceivably make Rangers half a million pounds richer and that’s an opportunity they shouldn’t pass up.
