David Turnbull has suggested he could be on the move this summer, as quoted by the Scotsman.
The 19-year-old midfielder picked up the Scottish Football Writers Young Player of the Year award after being pivotal to a Motherwell revival over the second half of the season.

He’s grabbed 13 goals and three assists in 29 SPL appearances this campaign. Therefore, it’s no real surprise that clubs south of the border are said to be interested.
The Scottish Sun reports that Derby, Cardiff and Bristol City are all in the hunt for his signature.

Unlike in the case of Jake Hastie, there will be no pre-contract deal here. Turnbull is contracted at Fir Park until 2021 [Transfermarkt]

However, he believes if the right offer comes in, he could be on the move.
“I am not sure it is really up to me,” he said on his future, as
quoted by the Scotsman.
“I’d just like to come back next season and see what happens. If clubs come in and put a bid in then it is obviously a bonus and shows that I am doing well, but I am not sure it is up to me.
“If somebody came in and bid a lot of money I am sure the club would want to take it and maybe look at a loan back if I went somewhere. At the moment I am just focusing on Motherwell.”

Rangers should try to step in

These words should surely catch the attention of Steven Gerrard.
The likes of Cardiff, who will receive a parachute payment after being relegated from the Premier League, will have more financial clout than Rangers.
However, given all that Turnbull has achieved in the SPL this season, surely he’s worth enquiring about.
In swooping for the likes of Jordan Jones and Hastie, the Gers look to be targeting the best of the rest in Scotland’s top flight.
Turnbull is certainly in that bracket and his goal threat from midfield could add yet another dimension to an increasingly promising looking Gers side.
