When Rangers took on Livingston on Sunday, many fans finally got their wish.
After a social media campaign had ramped up in intensity in the build up, Nikola Katic finally started a match.
It was the first time he had been picked in the XI since the 7-1 home drubbing of Motherwell.

That was back on 11th November.
Apart from an enforced substitute appearance on Boxing Day against Hibs, the 22-year-old had been frozen out for over two months.
You wouldn’t have known it though.
It was a strong overall performance from Rangers, but Katic was a stand out individual.
He was a commanding presence at the back, dominating in the air and covering the ground well.

As a result, he received praise from his manager during Tuesday’s press conference.
Yet, all that wasn’t enough for the Croatian to be included in the SPFL Team of the Week.
That’s despite three centre-backs being picked in the XI.
Andy Munro (Stenhousemuir), John Soutter (Hearts) and Darren McGregor (Hibernian) got the nod instead.
While McGregor did score in his side’s win over St Mirren, he seems a particularly strange pick.
Hibs failed to keep a clean sheet against the Premiership’s bottom team.
By way of contrast, Katic was the standout as Rangers shut out a side who put five past Hearts earlier this season.
He could be forgiven if he feels a bit disgruntled about being overlooked here.
