Jake Hastie is in his second week of Rangers training, following his transfer from Motherwell.
The 20-year-old winger enjoyed a breakout few months at Fir Park following the winter break and was rewarded with a massive move.

However, before he even set foot in Auchenhowie, there were suggestions that he could be on his way out again.
The Scottish Sun reports that both he and Glenn Middleton are to go on loan this season to further their development.

There seems to be some logic to this, considering the number of options Stevie G has in wide areas.

However, when you match Hastie’s latest social media activity with a recent interview, it doesn’t look like he’s going anywhere.
Earlier in the week, he told RangersTV how he hoped to add directness, goals, and assists to the Rangers team.

Then, he posted a photo with the new Gers home strip alongside an encouraging message.

It would seem strange that Hastie would look to build his part up like that if he were about to leave the club.
Perhaps, then, Stevie G wants to keep hold of him after all.
The wide man may still be raw, but he did score six times in his first nine appearances after returning to Motherwell from a stint at Alloa in January [Soccerbase], so he’s shown he can be mighty effective at this level.
Hopefully, we’ll see more of that goalscoring prowess at Ibrox over the coming months.
