Form of Candeias and Kent poses problem for Grezda at Rangers

Eros Grezda signed a four-year contract with Rangers in the summer, arriving from Croatian club, Osijek.
The winger commanded a reported fee of £2 million and made his debut as a late substitute against Dundee, in September.

Unfortunately, though, he still isn’t really up and running.
Clearly, it was a big move for the Albanian international and it was never going to be easy to settle.
By the winter break, he had mustered just 14 appearances and two goals, both of which came in the 7-1 hammering of Motherwell at Ibrox.

He had fallen out of favour by January, before disaster struck.
The 23-year-old picked up a foot injury during the mid-season camp in Tenerife and has only just returned to training.
Even once fit again, though, other recent developments may hamper his chances of establishing himself at the club.

Candeias and Kent hard to shift

Daniel Candeias and Ryan Kent look to have hit top form.
The Portuguese has rediscovered his creativity in the final third and registered an impressive hat-trick of assists in the cup replay against Kilmarnock.
Kent was then similarly impressive against Hamilton, at the weekend. The Liverpool loanee was at the heart of everything in the 5-0 win and was subsequently named in the SPFL Team of the Week.
Those players appear to have nailed down their spots on the right and left flanks, for now.

Of course, they can’t play every minute of every game. But, when Grezda does get a look in, he’ll be under even more pressure to make it count.

With Glenn Middleton also impressing further down the club of late, competition is set to be healthy in wide areas, and Grezda has his work cut out.
Lets hope he comes back ready to impress.
