Steven Gerrard confirmed yesterday, that goalkeeper, Stefan Marinovic, is undergoing a trial period with the club.
It’s understood that he has a week to impress enough to earn a deal at Ibrox.
We’ve compiled a list of five facts for those curious about the new face at Auchenhowie.

1) Marinovic is 27-years-old, 6ft 3′ and currently a free agent.
2) Most recently, the keeper played for Vancouver Whitecaps. He featured 24 times during the 2018 MLS season and kept two clean sheets.
3) Born and schooled in Auckland, Marinovic is a full New Zealand international. Since making his debut against South Korea in 2015, he has accumulated 24 caps.

4) Marinovic has trialled in Britain before. He had an unsuccessful audition at Premier League club Everton shortly after leaving school.
5) The keeper spent much of his early career in the German lower leagues. Prior to his move to the States, he had spells with 1860 Munich Reserves and SpVgg Unterhaching, who currently play in the third tier.
From these stats, it seems unlikely that he will challenge for the number one spot ahead of

However, he is still relatively young for a goalkeeper and has experience at international level.
With uncertainty over the futures of both Wes Foderingham and Robby McCrorie, a short-term deal is on the cards, should he impress this week.
