Rangers will be up against a familiar face when they travel to Cowdenbeath on Friday night.
That’s because their manager, Gary Bollan, is a former Gers defender.
The 45-year-old spent three years at the club between 1995 and 1998, but, blighted by injuries, made just 11 league appearances.
Now in management, he will be looking to spring a massive cup upset in a few days time.
This isn’t his first job as a coach, in fact, he’s spent a lot more time in the dugout than his counterpart, Steven Gerrard.
He was in charge of Livingston between 2009 and 2012, before shorter stints at Aidriedonians and Forfar Athletic.
Bollan then took charge at Central Park in 2017.

Bollan is sure to have a few tricks up his sleeve, but he is utterly dependent on the visitors having a shocker.
With Cowdenbeath finishing bottom of the SPFL’s fourth tier for the last two seasons, Steven Gerrard could scarcely have asked for a kinder draw.
Yet, that won’t stop the hosts from holding onto a little belief, even if it should eventually prove to be just wishful thinking.
