Rangers’ trip to Aberdeen this evening, is massive.
Lose, and Gerrard’s men could be too far back to mount a realistic title challenge.
Draw, and they would stay ahead of the Dons, but drift further away from Celtic.
Win, though, and confidence will flood through the team. The wounds from a chastening defeat at Rugby Park, finally healed.

One man who needs to start making tangible contributions to the outcome of matches, is Borna Barisic.
When he arrived at Ibrox for a reported fee of £2 million in the summer, he looked an excellent buy.
It was the quality of his crossing from the left flank that really stood out.
However, injury severely hampered his first half of the season.
Now he’s back to full fitness, he needs to start producing the goods.
He need only to look at fellow full-back, James Tavernier, for inspiration.

The skipper has an outstanding eight goals and eight assists in the league this season. Barisic, has just two assists, and is yet to open his goals account.
Obviously, defending should be the main priority and there are also several mitigating factors here.
Tavernier takes the penalties and has played over double the amount of matches as the left-back.
However, the fact remains that the Croatian needs to start providing more goal scoring opportunities for the front men.

At the moment, Rangers’ crossing threat comes mainly down the right side.
While Kent’s return from fitness has added an renewed threat on the left flank, Barisic could be doing more.
If deliveries from both sides are capable of regularly hurting the opposition, that can only be a big plus.
Time for some end product, from the fit again summer signing.
