Aberdeen midfielder, Lewis Ferguson, has finally spoken out on Allan McGregor’s controversial challenge, as quoted by the Scottish Sun.
The incident occurred during Rangers’s recent SPL win at Pittodrie.

With the scores locked at 3-2, the teenager looked to latch onto a through ball.
McGregor got there first, but as he collected the ball, he left his leg in and caught Ferguson flush on the shin.
It wasn’t picked up by referee, Bobby Madden, at the time.

However, the Gers keeper was then cited by SFA Compliance Officer, Clare Whyte, ensuring he picked up a two-match ban for violent conduct.

Time to move on

“There’s no bad blood and I’m sure it’s the same with Allan”, said Ferguson, as quoted by the Scottish Sun.
“After it happened I never really thought about it again. People are going to make mistakes.”
“After the tackle I was obviously a bit angry with him, but that’s football. I’ve tackled like that in my career, playing in the development league. I’ve put in bad tackles, but you move on.”
“After the game I wasn’t bothered if he got the ban or not. I’ve never read into stuff like that. It’s done.”
It all seems pretty sensible stuff from the teenager.

Although many Bears were incensed that McGregor was banned while others got away with similar or worse, the punishment is now served and the matter closed.
McGregor is set to return to the starting line-up against Hamilton, on Sunday.
