This afternoon, Rangers U17s took on Kashiwa Reysol in the semi-final of the ALKASS Cup in Qatar.
The young Gers have played some great football to get to this stage, with a 7-0 win over Tunisian side Etoile Sportive du Sahel (ESS) the undoubted standout.
Their opposition today, though, were of a higher calibre. They beat Real Madrid U17s 2-0 to seal their place in the last four.
However, they were no match for a rampant Rangers.
After a cagey opening to the match, Arron Lyall pounced on a defensive error to put the Gers 1-0 up.
Soon afterwards, it was two.
Nathan Young-Coombes, recently arrived at Ibrox from Chelsea. He has been the star man so far during the tournament, scoring a hat-trick against ESS last time out.
He was at it again this afternoon, with a brilliant solo goal.

In the second half, Kai Kennedy helped to hammer home the Ger’s dominance.
He opened his account in the 61st minute, and scored a brilliant second, 20 minutes later.
Although he benefitted from a significant deflection first time round, his willingness to take on defenders was particularly impressive.

Kashiwa pulled a goal back in between Kennedy’s efforts, but the win was never really in doubt.
Alexander Lowry rounded off the scoring, making it 5-1 in the closing stages.
A job well done from the U17s, who progress to the final of the prestigious competition.
We’ll leave you with a sublime piece of skill picked up by a fan on Twitter.
Nathan Young-Coombes looks a serious prospect…
