Rangers U18s take on Celtic U18s in the final of the Scottish Youth Cup on Thursday evening.
Hampden is the venue for a hugely significant age-group Old Firm. It’s to be played behind closed doors but in front of the TV cameras.

The Gers have performed well across all age groups this season, right up to Reserve team level. Therefore, for several players taking to the field this evening, this is the first of many end of season trophies up for grabs.
U18s captain, Danny Finlayson, was in positive form on the eve of the big game.
“Every young boy wants to run out at Hampden and show what you can do,” he
“There is always a pressure playing for Rangers, but in a game like this as well, there is even more pressure. All the boys in the changing room have it in them and are confident enough we will go and do the job.
“This is the business end of the season and it’s where you can prove you’re a good player or not. Like I said, the boys in the dressing room have enough in them and are confident enough we are ready to go and prove we are the best team.”
“We are now getting used to winning games and winning trophies, and it’s what you need to do at a club like this. There’s no better feeling.”

Huge night ahead at Hampden
This has all the makings of a landmark evening for these young Gers.
However, just because they’ve beaten Celtic before this season, doesn’t mean it will come easily.
One-off finals can be levelers and it sounds like 18-year-old Finlayson is aware of the challenge ahead.
It’s disappointing that there won’t be any atmosphere inside the stadium. However, the TV presence means this offers the youngsters a great chance to show what they can do to a wider audience.
Let’s hope they can do the business at the national stadium, to win the Youth Cup for the first time in five years.
