Rangers youngsters set for stiff tests

The Young Gers have been drawn in Group A and have some tasty fixtures lined up against multiple European Cup winners Benfica, MLS club LA Galaxy and Italian side Udinese.

The first match takes place in Novigrad against Benfica on Tuesday. The squad will remain there to face LA Galaxy the next day, before heading to Buzet for their final group game on Thursday.

It’s another chance for the talent-filled U16 group to clinch silverware.

They went unbeaten to win the Super Cup NI in early August before winning the prestigious Albim Cup in the Czech Republic last month.

This group has represented the club extremely well in recent months and the players will now get to test themselves further against celebrated clubs from around the world.

Good luck to the Young Gers and we’ll keep an eye out for their results over the coming days.
