Highly-rated Rangers starlets Kyle Glasgow and Max Cameron are closing in on their respective summer transfer moves following an official development at Ibrox on Monday afternoon.

The Rangers Academy officially announced that they entered into formal loan co-operation agreements with Scottish Championship side Queen’s Park and League One outfit Alloa Athletic ahead of the upcoming campaign.

The innovative system allows Scottish-eligible prospects aged between 16 and 21 to transition seamlessly to lower-league clubs for vital first-team exposure.

Crucially, the agreement dictates that players can move dynamically back and forth between Rangers and their co-operation club over the course of the season to maximise playing time.

This formal confirmation clears the final bureaucratic hurdle for two of the club’s most exciting academy assets to seal their expected development moves.

It's fair to say a lot of Rangers fans have hated it…

Kyle Glasgow and Max Cameron lined up for Alloa Athletic

According to previously reported details, attacking midfielder Kyle Glasgow, 16, and 17-year-old winger Max Cameron have already been earmarked for immediate senior integration with Alloa Athletic.

Both teenage standouts recently put pen to paper on their first professional contracts at Ibrox after attracting significant scouting interest from other clubs.

With the co-operation framework officially rubber-stamped on Monday, both Glasgow and Cameron are now cleared to join up with Alloa’s first-team squad ahead of the season.

Rangers keen to replicate Calum Adamson and Lewis Stewart blueprint

The decision to renew ties with Alloa Athletic stems from the monumental success of the partnership during the previous season.

The youth trio of Calum Adamson, Josh Gentles and Lewis Stewart all spent time with the Wasps under the co-op structure.

The move reaped massive rewards, particularly for Stewart, who was named both player of the year and fans’ player of the year for the League One club.

With the structural ink now dry on the contract, Glasgow and Cameron are poised to follow in those exact footsteps, stepping directly into a senior environment to continue their progression towards the Ibrox first team.

Meanwhile, the Andrew Cavenagh-led club ended ties with Raith Rovers to strike an agreement with Queen’s Park in the Championship.

Rangers decided not to renew the co-op agreement with Raith after the second-tier club’s poor use of Gentles last season.

Raith Rovers even wanted Findlay Curtis on loan before the Scot went on to impress at Kilmarnock last term.
