Danny Rohl appears to have played a key role in getting a Rangers sensation to put pen to paper on a new contract at Ibrox.

The German is being backed by the owners ahead of the summer transfer window, regardless of what happens in the title race.

Currently, Rangers are second on the Scottish Premiership table, three points behind Hearts.

Danny Rohl has lost just one league game as Rangers manager…

If YOU were to change one thing about his management style for next season, what would it be? 🤔

According to the Daily Record, the Gers are confident that Ashton Scally will be signing his first professional deal at the club.

The teenage left-back has been subject to Premier League interest, with some of England’s top clubs keen on signing him.

It is understood that Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City and Arsenal have all been interested in securing his services.

However, the Ibrox outfit have managed to convince him to stay put in Glasgow.

They have offered the 15-year-old a three-year contract as they want to show their commitment to him.

Rohl has played an important role in potentially keeping Scally at the club, as he has made a first-team promise to the young defender.

He has already trained with the first team and the German has promised him a quicker pathway to senior football at Rangers.

When will Scally make his Rangers debut?

Rohl is a big fan of Scally and his Rangers debut could have happened this season as well, but regulations prevented that from happening.

The Gers boss wanted to put the 15-year-old in his matchday squad for the Scottish Cup clash against Annan.

However, due to his age, he was not allowed to do that as the rules state that players need to be 16 or older.

With Scally likely to stay, he is very likely to make his debut in the early rounds of the Scottish League Cup next season.

If he does impress Rohl in those games, the left-back could even make the matchday squads in the Scottish Premiership matches.

Getting Scally on for the final 10-15 minutes in games that are already won would be ideal as it would boost his confidence.
