Greg Docherty continues to impress at Shrewsbury, while Ryan Hardie has found fitness and goals at Livingston.
Yet, surely none have been as important to their adopted side, as Zak Rudden.
During the summer, the 18-year-old played a part in Rangers’ pre-season. In fact, he netted in the home win over Bury before securing a loan move to Falkirk.
The Scottish Championship has once again provided a tough challenge for the Bairns. Having only just survived the drop last season, they are currently languishing second from bottom.
What’s more, their heads are only above water because of the teenage loanee.
Rudden’s goal’s vital
Rudden has a strong scoring ratio of a goal every other game, with eight in 16 appearances.
However, that isn’t his most impressive stat.
Falkirk haven’t won a single league game in which the striker hasn’t scored.
In fact, in each of their four victories, Rudden has scored all but one of the Bairns goals.
Most recently, his poacher’s instincts were enough to hand his team a shock 1-0 win at second-placed Ayr United, on Saturday.
Yet, his loan is set to come to an end this month.
There has been no official announcement so far, but surely something can be worked out between the two clubs to extend the deal.
Playing week-in, week-out will be great for Rudden’s development, while Falkirk are obviously heavily reliant on his goals.
