New Rangers signing Joe Worrall was tossed right into the deep end tonight. And he handled it very well.
Rangers fans were initially shocked to see the on-loan Nottingham Forest defender Worrall cast into the starting line-up instead of Nikola Katic.
But after a rocky start the defender seem composed, vocal and commanding at the back.
A hard game to come into
Yes. It was a hard game for Worrall to make his debut. But what a game to make your debut.
Rangers pulled a 2-2 out of the bag against Villarreal in a performance which smacked of Walter Smith of old.
It might’ve even been more if Arfield managed to shape it past the keeper in the dying stages.

Rangers put up one hell of a fight in Spain and maybe just lacked some self-belief in the first half.
They were definitely good for a point in Spain, and Worrall would’ve endeared himself to the Rangers faithful tonight.
You can bet he’s now addicted to the club. It’ll be some party in Villarreal.
