Rangers fans buzzing as Gers make it a 'six-point Sunday'

Rangers made it a ‘six-point Sunday‘ yesterday after Malky Thomson’s Women’s side followed up the Men’s 2-1 win over Hibs with a 5-0 thrashing of Spartans to keep them on track for a historic SWPL success.

With Steven Gerrard’s side having already wrapped up the league title, they got things rolling yesterday as goals from Joe Aribo and Ryan Kent extended the Light Blues unbeaten record in the Scottish Premiership to 34 games this season.

After kicking off an hour later, the SWPL side impressed as first-half goals from Kirsty Howat and Zoe Ness had them 2-0 up at the break, before Lizzie Arnot, Clare Gemmell and a second from Howat sealed a comprehensive 5-0 win at the Rangers Training Centre.

Rangers remain top of the SWPL table on goal difference from Glasgow City and could end City’s 13-year streak of titles in their first season since turning professional.

RONALDO NEEDS TO STOP WHINING.

With plenty still to play for this season, there could still be a few more bits of silverware added to the famous Ibrox trophy room with the SWPL trophy and Scottish Cup potential additions alongside the Scottish Premiership trophy.

Seeing their side win twice in one day had some Rangers fans on Twitter delighted as they praised both the male and female players for their table-topping form.
