Scotland boss Pedro Martinez Losa has named his squad for the FIFA Women’s World Cup qualifier against Ukraine later this month – with five of Rangers’ Invincible SWPL1 champions named in the 23-player squad.

Jenna Fife, Nicola Docherty, Sam Kerr, Lizzie Arnot and Jane Ross have all been named in the squad for the clash in Poland, sitting second in their group behind runaway leaders Spain.

“I would expect a packed stadium,” the Scotland boss said [Sky Sports]

“This is the area where there are most Ukrainian refugees and it is close to the border.

“We expect probably the most difficult scenario in terms of the atmosphere and in terms of the level of the opponent.

“It is a team that has been progressing and we expect a better team than we faced in the first match.”

Scotland sit one point ahead of third-placed Hungary in the race to finish as runner-up to Spain and secure a playoff spot.

A win would be a massive result for Scotland with only one more qualifier left after the Ukraine fixture – away to the Faroe Islands in September.

With Hungary sitting just one point behind Martinez Losa’s side, defeat would leave their qualification hopes in the balance.
