When does the transfer window open as Rangers prepare for busy summer

The season is officially over and players are away on their holidays before returning for the grind of pre-season – and fans’ minds are turning to the transfer window, with Rangers set for a busy summer.

A number of out of contract players and an expectation that Gio van Bronckhorst will look to put his own stamp on the squad in his first pre-season in charge means there is likely to be a big turnover of players in the coming weeks.

The Light Blues players don’t return for pre-season until the end of June and the Gers stars will be looking to make up for the agony of losing out on the Premiership title and Europa League.

Rumours swirl around the future of several Ibrox stars with the likes of Calvin Bassey, Joe Aribo, Ryan Kent and Cedric Itten all linked with exits.

With a while until the football returns, transfers will be the main topic of conversation over the next few months for fans of Rangers and clubs around the world.

When does the 2022/23 Summer transfer window open?

The transfer window in Scotland officially opens on Friday, June 10. Deals can be confirmed before then but players can’t officially be registered until the window opens.

When is the transfer deadline?
