The agent of heavily Rangers-linked FC Sochi striker Mateo Cassierra has hinted that the Colombian hitman is set to move to Zenit St Petersburg.
Ex-Ajax striker Cassierra, 25, impressed in the Russian Premier League last season, scoring 14 goals and laying on six assists as Sochi finished second in the division.
Rangers had been extensively linked to the striker after Mateo Cassierra himself claimed that the Ibrox club were interested in his services.

The Gers are known to be in then hunt for a striker with Cassierra links to Ibrox assistant Dave Vos making this potential deal attractive to supporters.
But for any fans holding out hope that Rangers will be moving for the striker, Cassierra representatives claim a deal has been agreed with Zenit despite an official bid being launched.
“Will Cassierra sign a contract with Zenit? We have agreed with the club,” says the 25-year-old’s agent [RB Sport].
Attention will now turn to potential alternatives as the Ibrox club look to bolster their frontline ahead of the new campaign.
Rangers came up short up top in the latter stages of last season as injuries to Alfredo Morelos and Kemar Roofe had the club without a recognised striker in the Europa League Final.
A perceived lack of investment over the last few seasons has also heaped the pressure on the Rangers board to strengthen the side and spend some money.
Rangers have also just sold Swiss international striker Cedric Itten to BSC Young Boys and have a clear gap in the squad in this area.
Whilst Mateo Cassierra may be out of reach for Rangers, is a familiar Croatian international next in line for an Ibrox move?
